There is a Workbook for each Personality Dimension which you can download from the Download Page. Each workbook is customised for each Personality Dimension. To complete the Leadership Journey you must have completed a total of 16 Workbooks.
You should always use the Workbook together with your Expert Guides.

Keep the Sample Expert Guide and Sample Workbook at hand while we explain in the text that follows how to use them.
In the Expert Guide you will find the Development Recommendations directly under the graph next to your rating:

The Workbook explains to you how to implement the 7 recommended Development Actions (but you should only implement the development steps that have been recommended).

And also provides activities for you to complete for each of the development actions.
Increasing Insight and Self - Awareness involves:
Carefully reading through the Expert Guide
Answering questions relating to the development dimension. In the case of the Development Dimensions "Conscientiou"the questions are;
- How is your tendency to be Conscientious working fo you in your job?
- Many of the counterproductive behaviors associated with being Conscientious have been discussed in the Expert Guide. Which of them apply to you?
- How does this constrain your effectiveness as a leader?
Observing your own behavior at work for a few days. Making a check next to the counterproductive behaviors you have become aware of in the space provided in your workbook.
Making notes on how these Counterproductive Behaviors constrained your effectiveness.
2. Implement the Coaching Suggestions involves carefully reading the "Coach Suggests"section of the Expert Guide and then doing and recording the following activities:
A number of coaching suggestions have been made in your Expert Guide. Which of them are you going to implement?
Now implement them and make notes on what you have learned.
3. Do the Recommended Readings is the third Development Action.
Much research has gone into identifying web articles that will assist you in learning new skills that will help you to modify counterprodutive behaviors and learn more productive behaviors. These topics are listed in the Recommended Readings section. For instance for conscientious they are:
- Micromanagement
- Delegation
- Perfectionism
Simply typing these titles into the Google search bar will take you to informative articles on the topic on excellent websites like Mindtools and Businessballs.
You should try to do as many of the Recommended Readings as possible. It is also strongly recommended that you summarise the articles you have read. This will help you to make the information contained therein "your own".
4. Develop Target Behaviors
The Target Behaviors listed in your Expert Guide itemise the behaviors and skills you should try to develop or improve. Using the keys learned in developing new habits and from the Tiny Habits Academy, you can get into the habit of practising these target behaviors until you internalise them and make them your own. Keeping the check box will make you more aware of the behavior that you should practise, and also help you to track whether you have or not.
5. Do the EQ Workout
In keeping with the article on developing new habits and the methodology of the Tiny Habits Academy, the EQ Workout will stretch you and help you to put what you learned from the Recommended Readings into practise, and to practice it repeatedly until it becomes a habit.
