SUMMARY MODULE 2

In this module we:

1. Showed you how to use your Roadmap to guide you through My EQ. You should:

  • Do and complete one Journey at a time, first Self - Regulation, then Working with People, then Task Management
  • Start with the Personality Dimensions highlighted in red, then orange, then blue
  • Complete all the recommended Development Activities for a Personality Dimension before moving on to the next Personality Dimension

2. Discussed the Expert Guides in detail. 

There are 16 in total, one for each Personality Dimension on which you were assessed. They are structured as follows:

  • A graph shows you how strong your score was on the Personality Dimension
  • A Blue Bar gives your rating and lists the Recommended Development Actions you should complete for that Personality Dimension
  • You are introduced to both the Productive and Counterproductive Behaviors Associated with the Personality Dimension
  • You are given feedback on your profile
  • Counterproductive Behaviors are discussed in detail
  • The Coach Suggests provides you with coaching suggestions that will help you to modify your behavior
  • Key Coaching points are summarised
  • You are provided with a list of Target Behaviors to develop

3. Discussed the Workbooks.

  • There is a Companion Workbook for each Expert Guide therefore 16 in total.

There are 7 Development Actions that can be taken to help you to improve your EQ. They are:

1. Increase Insight and Self - Awareness
2. Implement Coaching Suggestion
3. Do the Recommended Readings
4. Develop Target Behaviors
5. Do the EQ Workout
6. Deepen Insight
7. Reflection

The Expert Guides will::

Itemise the development actions you should take
Explain your productive and counterproductive behaviors
Provide coaching suggestions
Identify Target Behaviors for you to develop

The Companion Workbook should be used together with your Expert Guides and provide you with Development Activities

The Expert Tutor is a special development activity that helps you to cement in new behaviors

In the next module, we will discuss each of the Development Actions in more detail and illustrate how they can be implemented.
