Goals of Module 1

  1. To introduce the concept of EQ
  2. To illustrate the cost of poor EQ
  3. To demonstrate the link between EQ, Leadership and Business Productivity
  4. To encourage openness to feedback through the Johari Window
  5. To demonstrate the relationship between self – awareness and habit change
  6. To provide a basic understanding of reshaping the “wiring of the brain” and habit change
  7. To provide a practical model for developing new habits
  8. To introduce the concepts of productive and counterproductive behaviors associated with personality traits
  9. To provide the rationale and motivation for leaders to develop their EQ

Learning Outcomes:

On completion of this module you will:

  1. Have a basic understanding of the concept of Emotional Intelligence (EQ)
  2. Understand the relationship between EQ, leadership effectiveness and company performance
  3. Understand the Johari Window model and how it relates to your development
  4. Understand the importance of self – awareness in developing your EQ and developing new habits
  5. Understand the relationship between self awareness, learning, personal mastery and personal leadership brand
  6. Understand brain plasticity and how it relates to your development as a leader
  7. Understand the importance of Reminder, Routine and Reward in developing new behaviors
  8. Be familiar with the Tiny Habits model of behavior change
  9. Understand the concept of productive and counterproductive behaviors associated with personality traits
  10. Know what the overarching objective of My EQ is.
